CVQuant is a specialized, Veteran-Owned Small Business founded on the principles of service, precision, and integrity.

Owned and operated by practicing cardiologists, we offer a critical remote reading service. We recognized a significant challenge in cardiovascular care: while AI-driven plaque quantification is becoming the standard for risk assessment, many practices find it inaccessible due to high costs, complex workflows, and the necessity for specialized staff.

Our mission is to solve this disparity. CVQuant merges FDA-cleared AI technology with the clinical expertise of cardiologists, leveraging decades of face-to-face patient care to not only quantify plaque but also to critically interpret the clinical implications of the analysis. This allows us to provide precise, clinically relevant, and "academic-level" plaque characterization to hospital systems, private practices, and federal facilities—all without the need for capital investment or increased overhead.

Dr. Steel is a distinguished cardiologist and leader in advanced cardiovascular imaging with over two decades of clinical and academic experience. As a cardiologist, he understands the clinical demands of busy practices and the necessity for reports that are not just accurate, but actionable. He leads CVQuant’s clinical quality assurance and protocol development, ensuring that every report meets the highest standard of care and bridges the gap between software innovation and clinical practice. As a 20 year veteran of the United States Air Force Medical Corps, he brings experience of managing complex medical systems and problem solving to the forefront of cardiac imaging.
